Adventure City – The Little Theme Park

Adventure City, aka “The Little Theme Park,” is a great choice for families with kids who want bite-size theme park fun. Most of the rides are geared toward kids 4 feet and under, while thrill seekers can take on a 45-foot drop tower or the country’s first forward-and-reverse family coaster called Rewind Racers. This is a fantastic article to read.

What to Expect

A smaller park that sits right outside of the bigger Disney-owned theme parks, Adventure City is geared toward younger children. Here you can find kids’ rides, educational areas, and a petting farm that lets your kids cuddle up to goats and rabbits.

The rides are all within close proximity of one another, so your kids can ride several times without having to wait long. The Rescue 911 fire trucks and police cars, the Drop Zone drop tower, Freeway Coaster little kid coaster, the Crank ‘n’ Roll train ride, and a vintage 1946 carousel are all great choices.

Kids can also have their birthday party at Adventure City and the $199 package includes pizza, soda, all-day admission (except for Mount Adventurous rock climbing wall), and a special treatment for the child’s birthday.

Rides

A smaller, more budget-friendly option to the big-name theme parks in California, Adventure City is a family theme park geared towards younger kids and families. With rides that spin and twirl, a petting farm, a children’s theater with interactive stage shows, a climbing wall, and an arcade, you can find plenty to do at this little theme park.

Rides here include the Crack ‘n’ Roll, a unique mini train that allows each child to be the engineer. There’s also the vintage 1946 carousel, Giggle Wheel, and the Rewind Racers, a family shuttle coaster.

The park is especially popular for kids’ birthday parties. Party packages here start at $199 and include unlimited rides for all ten guests, pizza, drinks, decorations, and a special treat for the birthday boy or girl.

Attractions

The little theme park offers 17 kid-friendly attractions, including a small roller coaster and a classic carousel. Kids who like to pretend they’re in a real-life fire or police vehicle can go for a ride on Rescue 911, where they put on their own gear and get behind the wheel of a self-driving fire truck, ambulance, or police car. A 911 dispatcher explains fictitious emergency calls over the intercom, and kids love making their own noises as they drive.

Other popular attractions include the Freeway Coaster, a Thomas the Tank Engine play area, a petting zoo, and stage shows at the Adventure City Theater. Families can also play at the arcade and climb a challenging rock wall called Mount Adventurous. It’s a nice alternative to bigger theme parks for families with young kids. Here is another spot to visit.

Food

Adventure City is a bite-sized theme park for young kids and their families. It has a few small rollercoasters and a 1946 carousel and offers old-fashioned crowd-pleasers like cotton candy, peanuts, and popcorn. It’s a perfect fit for families who don’t have a lot of time to spend at a theme park but want to see Orange County’s coasters and have a fun day out.

The food at Adventure City is surprisingly good. There are a variety of options for families, including Mary’s chicken arugula salad, Niman Ranch pork chop, rigatoni pasta fagioli, and the fresh fish of the day. The prices are higher than at other Orange County theme parks, but the quality and quantity more than makeup for it. In-park dining requires a theme park admission ticket for each person in your party ages 3 and older.
